for those of you braving the entire summer season in dubai, here is an insight in to what bareface were up to over the last quarter, in the cooler days...

models in town

models are leaving us for the fairer weather elsewhere, but the internationals brave enough to stick it out include melissa, loukia and miriam (who will be arriving mid-july).  victoria has just moved here from australia but she has limited availability so will be available for special bookings only.

editorial
bareface models alla, bojana, emma, monja, nikola,
gabriele, rene, zirkea,
angela all graced the local
editorials over the last quarter...

meanwhile....in jordan

monja, cyndy and renee  all flew to amman for the day to shoot for jordan-based U magazine. this is their 3rd issue and bareface have provided all the models since their launch.

and further afield still
german Maxim came to shoot their june issue at the beginning of the year using arabic models from bareface, with dennie on hand with her brushes and powder

campaigns and advertising

bojana, anita, narsis, lorenzo and jelena all strut their stuff in the may campaign for the mall of the emirates.  kirsten styled the shoot and tanya rex did the hair and make up.

coupled with this was a style guide that had male model robert modeling the latest fashion for their ‘6 style hit’ feature with dennie and lorna behind the brushes.

bojana was the face of Nayomi’s summer 07 collection and renee was selected for Harvey Nichols.

if you haven’t heard about it, you must have been walking around with cotton wool in your ears and your eyes firmly shut…salik has now been introduced and the faces behind the campaign are bareface models saleh and mona

as if you could call it work – yvette, alex, omer and model of the month kristina
all had fun shooting Wild Wadi’s new campaign…

bareface goes hip hop

iranian singer and songwriter farzab shot two music videos with LA based director alec cartio and local freelance producer pascal baboudjian.

‘c c baby’ with international natalia shot around the souks, and ‘dance’ with hip hop dancers al, wahid, louisa, sophie, hiba and steph shot between the studio and sheikh zayed road.

word on the street….

the great beauty debate

model course

booker amanda started up her model course at the beginning of june, which aims to help both new and seasoned models with learning and re-learning the basic skills of modeling. the course includes lessons in casting, grooming and general presence behind the camera. loreta was on board to help with the catwalk skills and poses, maren was there to teach everyone about the art of make up/hair and dave kennedy was the photographer documenting the final results. the courses will continue after the summer, if you are interested please email amanda@bareface.com
