BUILDING CLASSROOMS FOR CHILDREN IN UTTAR PRADESH,INDIA
MONYATI & BAREFACE JOIN FORCES TO HELP THE CHILDREN OF UTTAR PRADESH
Let us build schoolrooms in Utter Pradesh India -- Bareface supports Monyati Initiatives, a non-profit social development initiative that was set up by one of their models.
The Pandit Brahmaganga School in Utter Pradesh India is a extremely basic school. They don’t have any electricity, water, furniture or washrooms. All 700 students have to sit on the floor and the existing 7 rooms don’t offer enough space. Hence some lessons are given outside on the ground under the sky. Their top priority is to build additional schoolrooms.
Monyati Initiatives is a non-profit social development initiative that was founded by one of Bareface’s models, Monja Wolf, in 2009. So far they implement projects in Nepal, Pakistan, Brazil, Haiti and Ethiopia in the education, water and housing sector. For their latest commitment they aim to build five additional schoolrooms for the Pandit Brahmaganga School. It will cost USD 5,000 to construct one room; and to reach our goal of five rooms USD 25,000 in total. Each room will have a size of 450 sqft. With Etihad Airways as a partner, six volunteers will travel to the village of Harihar Pur in the Sant Ravidash Nagar district of Utter Pradesh to plant trees for the school as well.
Bareface will support this project of Monyati Initiatives and aims to collect enough funds to build one of the five schoolrooms. Join us on this challenge.
